Screw blogs, post your opinions on a phonebox window

I see some bloke’s been going around Limerick scrawling on phoneboxes, street signs etc about how Limerick isn’t Pat Kenny’s favourite place. Personally, I think of all the heads in the national media who enjoy taking cheap shots at Limerick at every given opportunity, Kenny isn’t one of them. When all the rest sat in their comfy seats in D4 (or wherever they live) sipping coffee, Pat Kenny actually came down to Limerick, went walkabout in Moyross, had a gun shoved in his face by a wah, and lived to tell the tale. Foolish and all as it was.
It makes you wonder though. Of all the conventional things you can do to get your point heard: phone Joe Duffy, write to the newspapers, accost a politician, write a blog etc… scrawling your message on a phonebox actually gets you the most publicity these days! I can see this being the start of something big…

Sometimes it’s not just the Irish authorities that fuck things up royally. The area where I live has been on lockdown all day because a convicted murderer escaped from the local prison. This guy who is doing life for murdering his wife by battering her head with a hatchet a total of 22 times, was apparently left outside the prison walls to do a bit of work because he was considered a ‘minimal risk’ offender.
Nice.
